Ms. Tanushri Roy

Tanushri Roy is a public policy professional with over seven years of experience spanning programme design, institutional reform, regulatory policy and social sector advisory. A graduate of Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, she holds an LL.B from the Faculty of Law, Delhi University, and an M.Phil in Public Policy from the University of Cambridge, where she studied as a Commonwealth and Cambridge Trust Scholar. She has served as a Public Policy Specialist at NITI Aayog, and also worked with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, and the Government of the United Kingdom. At NITI Aayog she has led techno-economic appraisals of over a hundred government and multilateral development projects, contributed to governance and regulatory reform, and authored policy inputs reflected in the Union Budget. As a legal-policy negotiator, she represented India in bilateral and plurilateral trade agreements and at the COP.  As Founder and Director of the Shrinkhala Centre for Arts and Development and a trained Kathak practitioner, she works across the intersection of law, policy, culture and grassroots development.
